I’m a holistic massage therapist and yoga teacher. My aim is to help connect people to themselves by establishing a relationship with the body that provides healing, growth and connection.
The practice of yoga is a transformative ongoing journey that provides learning, growing and healing on a daily basis for me that started in 2008. When I came across the Ashtanga Mysore practice in 2013, I knew I had found what I was looking for: a practice that gives me clarity, groundedness, strength and depth. From mid 2014 onward I have been practicing with my teachers Matthew and Carla Vollmer (Ashtanga Spirit) in Berlin. To connect to the roots of Ashtanga, I went to practice with Sharath Jois in Mysore in 2017 and 2018 and hope to return many more times to that special place.
In late 2019 I completed two years of assisting daily Mysore classes at Ashtanga House Berlin with Matias de Biedma and Carola della Croce. My aim in my teaching is to share my love for the Ashtanga practice in a way that is healthy, safe and grounding.
I’m also a certified massage therapist for holistic massages. Under the guidance of my teacher Agni Rosenbusch, I completed the in-depth one year training to become a holistic massage therapist in 2017. I enjoy the calmness and rest massages provide which are so deeply needed in our times.
I’m inspired by Buddhist teachings and practices in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh (Plum Village). Besides my interest in body and movement, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Area Studies Africa/Asia and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Conflict Management.
